Read What One Pastor Writes About Revival

From: Dr. Jeffrey Beshears, Pastor

Dear Pastors and Friends,

As A Pastor, I Was Frustrated

Like most pastors, I had become frustrated with the anemic, lethargic symptoms in the members of our church. No matter how much preaching, praying, or programming my staff and I did, it seemed there was few going, serving, or sharing in the ministry of Christ. The last few years, I have been praying for and dreaming of something "real" from God that would alter our church from the inside out. I wanted to see lives "really changed for good, not just a few days or weeks. I was exhausted being the cheerleader to get people doing something or being something for God, when I knew that a person filled with the Holy Spirit should be sparked to newness of life.

We Needed A Real Revival

Friend, I had come to the conclusion that what we needed was a real "shake-up" from the impotent ways of church life! That is when I called William Blackburn whom I have known for several years. Together, we collaborated on a prayerful plan for our crusade that would be unusual for most pastors and churches today. Our revival plan included: holding prayer services several times the month before, getting a large tent for our severs, holding an eight-day crusade (Yes, Sunday through Sunday, without a break) and making the preaching of the Word of God the center-point of our purpose. We had a real revival. It was glorious!

We Experienced A Real Move Of God

Several months later, I report, we are still experiencing this remarkable move of God! In our crusade with William Blackburn, God did something that was "real": Lives were changed, families began serving together, a greater spirit of worship abounds with our fellowship, and people are telling others about Jesus!

You Can Have A Real Revival

I know that many pastors and staff are reluctant to step out and invest in this type of crusade. However, if you seek God's face in prayer, allow William Blackburn to be your evangelist, plan with him and listen to his insight, you will experience something few churches encounter these days..."something real from God!"

May the Lord bless you and your church as you step out in faith.

Still in revival,
