Many believe we will not know if we are going to heaven until we stand before the Judgment of God.

They see God as a giant computer that is keeping a ledger on all of us. When we do something good, they believe God puts a big plus by our name and when we do something bad He puts a big minus.

And they believe at the Judgment, God will add up the pluses and minuses and whichever is biggest, that will determine heaven or hell.

Well, that’s not what the Bible teaches. That is what the devil teaches. That is what man teaches.

Jesus said,

“verily, verily I say unto you, he that heareth my word and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation but is passed from death unto life.”

That means whether you go to heaven or hell is not decided at the Judgment of God, but rather it is decided right here on planet earth by what you do with Jesus Christ.

If you repent and place your faith in Jesus Christ and are born again, you will be saved for all eternity.

If you don’t repent and trust Christ, when you die, you go straight to hell. No purgatory. No soul sleep. No second chance.

A man either dies saved or he dies lost. No one is saved on the other side of the grave.
